FAQ’s:
Q. Are these prices the total we will pay?
A. Yes. There are no hidden extras. Though you can order add-on’s to your package if you want. There is no additional VAT to pay, which you will find many other wedding photographers hide from you in the way they present the initial fee, so be careful and look out for this if thinking of booking elsewhere.
Q. Can we provisionally book you?
A. Yes. If you wish to reserve your date, you can do this by phone, email or from the Contact Simon page. These require no reservation fee and are held for up to 2 weeks.
Q. How do we book you?
A. Phone or email me to check on my availability. Then forward to me the completed Booking Reservation Form with the due fee so as to guarantee your date as reserved.
Q. How far will you travel?
A. As far as needed. Even abroad.
Q. How long will our album take to complete?
A. It depends how soon you forward your Album and any Add-on Order to me. Anything from 6 weeks to 6 months generally and depending upon the package and album complexity. I always advise on getting your order to me within 6 weeks after seeing the proof images. September through to December is generally a very busy period putting albums together. Orders shouldn’t be rushed as this is when mistakes are likely to occur resulting in delays and unnecessary disappointments. Compiling albums and bookbinding is time-consuming and a delicate task.
Q. Do you just photograph weddings?
A. No. I’ve always been a professional photographer and enjoy plying my skills in other commercial aspects of photography too. I’m well experienced and of a high standard to not limit the choice of assignments I undertake. Q. If you’re ill on our wedding day, what happens then?
A. That’s all taken care of (I would have to be quite seriously ill though). I’m a member of a small network of selected professional photographers. (We meet together to discuss ways forward with our photography services). One of the main reasons for this network is for situations like an illness, so we have cover at short notice. Even if that were to fail, I know and have a host of other well qualified photographers as friends and associates who know my work and would be there to give a professional service on my behalf. So you can rest assure that you will have a professional photographer regardless. Indemnity and liability insurances are also naturally catered for within my services, but you will be well advised to take out your own insurance policy to cover any and all circumstances.
Q. Can we have something different for our package?
A. Yes! Just tell me what you’re looking for. I’d be pleased to help put something different together for you.
Q. Can we have a disc of our wedding photos so we can print some ourselves?
A. Yes. Most of my packages already provide this with the album.
